We appear to be experiencing issues with the dome surrounding campus. Fresh snow and hidden ice. Feels like I'm back home enduring the rotten blizzards my brother has had to deal with since the new year began. I checked my closet after class and now I'm wondering if I packed enough warm clothes when I left for the semester. Hopefully I won't have to find out. Anyone have a count for how much longer until spring?

I aged something like nine to eleven years over night. I'm not sure exactly. I just look older. A lot older. I'd think this was all a really bad dream if it weren't for all the crazy weird stuff going on. But um here because I had to check and make sure I wasn't hallucinating.

My brother texted me these yesterday around noon time, bragging about how school was canceled and I wasn't there to experience such an occasion. I think he forgets that I did attend mundie school prior to starting at Idris. Oh well, at least I was here and didn't have to help dig everyone out of the two plus feet of snow that piled up over night. I'm kinda curious if they closed school again today for him, that amount of snow can't easily have been cleaned up and moved out of the way in only 24 hours. I'm sure he'll send me another text later today to let me know if it turned out that it was.
I hope everyone is adjusting well enough to attending classes now that we're nearly three weeks into the semester.

How many of us will be staying behind over Christmas? After the rather "fabulous" prank last Christmas that ended in Araboth common room covered in glitter and wrapping paper I think we should all be a little more diligent in patrols in the coming week. I have hopes that it won't happen again, but the culprit(s) were never caught last year so it might happen again. I personally am hoping not. If nothing else I will be staying over Christmas this year and will volunteer to patrol a little longer than usual on Christmas Eve in an effort to prevent a repeat of that mess.

I think I've spent the last four days in the library. I'm actually looking forward to classes next month, at least then I'll have a reason to crack the textbooks currently stacked on my desk. Short of taking an occasional run I've spent the majority of time buried in a book for the day. Would anyone be interested in doing something tomorrow?

I know we’ve only just started to trickle in, but if at all possible could you let me know what books you read while on break? I’m trying to piece together a rough outline of what we’ll read this year and I hope to avoid any repeats where possible.
Also is anyone against the inclusion of the occasional children’s book for our younger members?

That did not go as planned. The whole was not suppose to... Fate is cruel sometimes, making me poor the potion down the drain so that it effect everyone when it was only supposed to be added to both Anya and Kiyoshi's drink to give them a little nudge in the right direction.
Thankfully I caught Tory so he wouldn't do anything like drink the water. Still Valentine's wasn't even remotely what it was intended to be.
To make things worse I think Tory has been avoiding me. I don't understand. Though I could be worrying for nothing, or reading too much into things. Just because I'm not busy doesn't mean he isn't.

For those of you that believe this prank gives you an excuse to run around school naked, I’d like to remind you that there is some form of dress code in effect at all times in the public areas of the school. If you are caught sans clothes points will be docked from your house.
Everyone else if you have not already been informed, you can cure your itchy issues by a visit to the infirmary or by using various other means (oatmeal bathes, aloe vera, etc.).

Yitzchak I brought back some stuffed peppers and vegetable risotto that Mama had made for one of her New Years Parties. She usually makes a few kosher dishes when she's catering for important people. I hope you like them.

Thankfully I didn't open presents until after my potions exam. And I've tried washing it off and doesn't; I get to be pink for my midterm in German. This should be interesting. I have never been happier to be done with math. I think it went alright, maybe... I'll find out soon enough though. A half hour until Magical Balance. That should be easier.
Nate would you like to meet up for a very quick cram session before the exam? Make sure we haven't missed anything.
The concert last night went wonderfully. Even if I missed two bars If we can build on last nights performance next term will be wonderful. I think Professor Ritt said something about music going out later this week. Did anyone else hear that? Or know otherwise? It was rather late and everything was really hectic.
I am cancelling Book Club tonight. However, if you would still like to come by Mathey and form study groups with your fellow students I encourage you to do so. I will be more than happy to review material with any student who asks.

I want to invite him home for New Years. Which is completely ridiculous, we went to the ball together that was all. It wasn't like a date or anything, we just were each others dates. I would have really liked going with Nate but he went with Dafne... I should have asked sooner, no one's fault but my own. But Salvatore...he was nice, very gentlemanly. There's a marked difference between him and, well, Ashton. I might actually be able to like him. And that's another insane thought. Just as insane as inviting him home for New Years. Of course if I did that mom would insist he stay until we return to school. What if he has other plans too? Don't those count for anything?
And I'm spazzing over something so miniscule. I should be more concerned about finals than whether or not I plan on extending an invitation to Salvatore. I'm going back to cramming. At least my notes make sense. And hopefully Nate will say he'll cram with me. He's funny when cramming though, sort of like he doesn't remember learning what we're reviewing.

Can someone confirm that I dreamed the whole day? It was too surreal to have actually happened. I'm a witch, I don't turn into crocodiles. I must have a fever even though I don't have chills or anything. That would explain everything wouldn't it? Yeah I thought so too.
My throat really hurts and I need to keep the lights off. I have the worst headache right now. The brightness on my computer is as low as it goes and it doesn't seem to be helping. If anyone finds that they need me I'll be laying down until I have to go on rounds.

I think I’ll be staying out of Rome for a while. The concert was great but everything that happened afterward. The city getting shut down and being grilled on my relationship to Oliver. Jac sent me six e-mails while I was stuck there. He was really worried. Why the hell would I be in on any plot to kill a member of Magical Governance. I’m only a sixth year and I have absolutely no ambition to get involved in the worst of the politics involving the Therian and Faie. Just support unity.
Oh God, what if school called my parents? Please don’t let them have notified my parents that I was under suspicion of having committed a grave crime. I’ll never be allowed to come back after going home.
